Sevilla Fútbol Club (Spanish pronunciation: [seˈβiʎa ˈfuðβol ˈkluβ]) is a Spanish professional football club based in Seville, Andalusia, that competes in La Liga, the top flight of Spanish football. The club was formed on 25 January 1890, making it Spain's oldest sporting club solely devoted to football. The Scottish-born Edward Farquharson Johnston was one of Sevilla's founders, also becoming their first president.
